In 2021 the UK hosted COP26. The car industry was rife with greenwashing. Electric vehicles were being touted as planet-saving, but in truth, they still create a massive carbon footprint. Volvo, a leader in automotive sustainability, wanted to stand out during the global event. So we called out the entire industry, including Volvo themselves, with a hashtag: #ZeroOmissions. The hashtag accompanied a series of ‘truth bombs’ online and on massive billboards around the UK and on motorways leading to COP26.
We even got a shout out from Mr Bean in the national press. Who knew he traded in the petrol guzzling Mini?
